Your path to live

The five steps from a free account to certified, live EDI with your retailer — including what compliance testing really involves and who does the work.

Every onboarding follows the same path, whoever the retailer is:

1 Sign up free no card needed 2 Add your partner 200+ in the catalog 3 Test in the sandbox a full order, no risk 4 Connect your system optional — anytime 5 Go live after certification

1. Sign up free

Create an account at app.edisq.com. The sandbox is free, unlimited, and permanent — no card, no trial clock. You can run the whole evaluation without speaking to anyone.

2. Add your trading partner

Find your retailer in the partner catalog and enable them. The map for their program — their document set, their house rules — already exists and is maintained by us. Enabling a partner costs nothing and starts nothing you can't undo.

3. Test in the sandbox

Run a full order cycle against a simulated partner: receive an 850, turn it into an 855, an 856, and an 810. Ten minutes in, EDI stops being abstract. Nothing in the sandbox touches your retailer.

4. Connect your system — optional, anytime

If you run QuickBooks, NetSuite, or another supported system, connect it so orders sync in and invoices sync out. Plenty of suppliers start with the web forms and a CSV and integrate later; see connect your business system.

5. Certify and go live

Before live traffic, your retailer's EDI team runs compliance testing: test documents are exchanged until everything validates against their spec. This is the step that stalls do-it-yourself EDI for weeks. We run that conversation for you — we know what each program's testers look for, and we tell you if anything is needed on your side (usually nothing, or one piece of item data). When the retailer signs off, the connection flips to production and documents flow.

The month-to-month agreement is signed in the app along the way — no term contract, no setup-fee negotiation.
