Who we are
EDISQ is operated by Damani Data, 2897 N Druid Hills Rd, #160, Atlanta, GA 30329, USA. This policy covers edisq.com, app.edisq.com, and the EDISQ API.
What we collect
Account data. Name, email address, company name, and password hash when you sign up; billing contact and payment status once you pass the free tier. If you write to us through the contact form, we keep the message and the details you include with it.
EDI documents. The documents you trade through the service — purchase orders, invoices, ship notices, and the rest — including the business data inside them (products, quantities, prices, ship-to addresses, contact names on orders). We process these solely on your behalf to provide the service. You own them; see the terms.
Usage data. Document counts for metering and billing, feature usage, log data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps), and error diagnostics. The marketing site sets no advertising trackers; your theme preference is stored locally in your browser and never sent to us.
How we use it
To run the service: authenticate you, translate and transmit your documents, meter usage, bill you, answer support requests, and secure the platform. To improve the service, we use aggregated, de-identified operational data. We send transactional email (verification, billing, incident notices) and will only send product news you can opt out of.
Processors
We use a small set of infrastructure providers, each processing data only to provide their service to us:
| Processor | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Microsoft Azure | Cloud hosting: compute, database, and document storage |
| Stripe | Payment processing, when paid billing is enabled — we never store card numbers ourselves |
| Azure Communication Services | Transactional email delivery |
Beyond processors, document data goes exactly where you direct it: to the trading partners you configure, over the transports their programs require. We disclose data if the law compels us to, and we'll tell you when we're allowed to.
What we don't do
We do not sell your data. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it with advertisers. We do not use your commercial data to compete with you or benefit another customer.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted or de-identified within 90 days of account closure, except records we must keep (invoices, tax records) for their legal retention periods. EDI documents are retained while your account is active so your document history stays intact; after closure, documents are deleted within 90 days of your export window ending. Logs are kept up to 12 months.
Security
TLS on every connection, encryption at rest, tenant isolation enforced in the data layer, least-privilege access, and audit logging. Details: edisq.com/security.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your account data — most of it directly in the app, the rest by asking. Depending on where you live, law may grant you additional rights (access, deletion, portability, objection); write to us and we'll honor them. We don't discriminate against you for exercising them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll email account holders before the change takes effect. The current version always lives at edisq.com/privacy with its effective date at the top.
